How to chose the right rope or post warning tube for the job

  • Choose the warning

Make the boundary visible, then make the message clear. Choose stripes or the wording your site needs.

  • Check the fit

The sleeve goes over the support. Check your posts or rope before choosing the size.

  • Plan for the next job

A reusable sleeve earns its place between jobs, too. Lay-flat storage keeps it ready to move.

Choose the warning

For a striped boundary, choose red/white, black/yellow or green/white. For a written warning, the range includes Danger, Danger No Road, Unsupported Ground, Caution and Caution Do Not Enter.

Match the wording to the hazard or access instruction. Use colours consistently with your site’s marking system.

Check the fit

The standard roll is 50m × 75mm. The tube fits over suitable posts and ropes; the stated width is not an internal diameter.

Confirm the fit with Tapex before ordering. Custom sizes can be manufactured when the standard size does not suit.

Plan for the next job

The 150µm polyethylene tube is reusable and stores flat. Resistance to curling, crumpling and tearing helps it hold its shape through handling.

Standard rolls come in boxes of 10. Plan quantities around the boundaries you need to mark and the message required in each area.
