Copper at the core of the trace
The CopperCore conductor gives the tape a conductive path for tracing buried fibre from the surface.

Before the digging starts, crews need to trace the cable. If the tape’s uncovered, they need to know what’s below. ProTrace™ brings both jobs together: printed underground warning tape with a continuous CopperCore tracer wire. Choose it for buried non-metallic fibre routes where a visible warning and an electronic trace are required. Unlike ordinary warning tape, ProTrace provides a wire for locating equipment to follow. Unlike stainless-steel Wavelay/AssetPro tape, it uses a 0.7 mm nickel-plated copper conductor for greater conductivity, with exposed sections to support contact with the ground.

Printed tape warns crews of the fibre cable below when the tape is exposed.
The 2,000 m drum supplies long lengths for mechanised fibre installation, reducing reel changes compared with shorter rolls.
