A missing connector can hold up a whole run of pipe. The wrong reel can stop a drill. Getting the main product to site is only part of the job; the pieces that go with it need to arrive too.

Tapex Industrial supports contractors working to a specified approach across fibre networks, buried power cables, gas, water and oil pipelines, and buried rail assets and services. Our distribution network combines supply through stockists with direct ordering, backed by a national sales support team.

Send us your approved product schedule and construction programme. We’ll help check the order, identify the supporting parts and plan supply around your workfronts, so your crew can keep laying, connecting and covering.

Order through a stockist. Or come straight to Tapex.

Use a Tapex stockist when it suits your purchasing arrangements, or order directly from our team. The stockists directory helps you find a supplier to contact about the products, quantities and timing you need.

Take the specified brand, product code and quantity with you. Ask about local stock, lead times and delivery or collection before you book the crew.

For larger schedules, specialist products or several delivery stages, Tapex coordinates the supply plan with you and your chosen distributor. One agreed schedule keeps the order and the programme in step.

Get the small parts into the big picture

Your approved drawings and specification set the product choice. The order needs to carry that detail all the way to site.

We check your schedule against the nominated Tapex products, quantities, sizes and compatible accessories. Any mismatch is raised before dispatch, giving you time to resolve it with the project engineer.

For Overpipe® protection plates, include the specified plate size and connector system. For Copperhead® tracer wire, include the nominated wire grade, insulation and reel length, plus connectors, grounding and access points. For warning tape and mesh, carry through the required colour, wording, width and detectable or non-detectable type.

Those are the details that decide whether the order fits the job. If the site conditions call for a change, take it through the project’s approval process before installation.

Plan the load around the workfront

An open trench has little use for a delivery next week. A crowded laydown area has little room for the whole project today.

Tapex confirms stock availability and lead times against your required dates, then agrees quantities and delivery stages with you. You get visibility of the items that need ordering early and the loads due at each stage.

Share the delivery address, site contact, access restrictions and unloading arrangements. Include the dates for each workfront and any shutdown or rail possession windows.

Overpipe plates arrive on pallets, so unloading equipment and a level storage area need to be ready. Wire reels, warning rolls and separately packed connectors also need checking against the delivery docket before they go out to the crew.

If availability or timing changes, we flag the affected items and work through the supply options with you and your distributor. That gives you a chance to adjust the plan before the crew reaches the crossing.

Product support where the detail matters

Four connectors in the carton are only useful when they’re fitted correctly. Product support helps turn the supplied parts into the specified installation.

Tapex provides product information and technical support for its Dig Safe® range, including Overpipe installation guidance. Correct plate connections, protected tracer-wire joins and accessible locating points all matter after backfill.

Bring us the product question, drawing detail or site photo. Our team helps you work through the manufacturer’s instructions and identify the next step, with specialist input where the application needs it.

For AP Sensing monitoring projects, the fibre route, equipment, interfaces and commissioning all need to line up. Tapex supports local project engagement for fibre sensing on pipelines and rail corridors.

We coordinate with AP Sensing and your installation team on the agreed equipment scope, installation requirements and commissioning support, so the monitoring package is planned alongside the civil works.

Keep the paperwork with the product

Tapex supplies the relevant product data and installation guidance for your nominated items, with supporting technical documents for the project’s quality records. Your crew and reviewer can work from the same product details.

Keep the approved drawings, delivered product codes and installation records together. Record the checks required before backfill, the locating tests and any monitoring acceptance tests. The trench closes; the handover record stays open to scrutiny.

Send us the approved product schedule, quantities and delivery location. Add your required dates, staged deliveries and any site access or unloading constraints. Tell us whether you’re ordering directly or working through a Tapex stockist.

From a single crossing to a staged corridor build, start with the products on the drawing and the dates on the programme.
