Cushion the coating
A layer of HDPE mesh helps protect the coating as rocks go back into the trench.
Sharp stones in the trench can undo careful coating work. Give the pipe a cushion before the backfill goes in. Choose Pipe Armour™ Rock Shield for coated steel pipelines that need protection from rock impact and abrasion during trench backfilling. The extruded HDPE mesh wraps around the pipe, helping keep sharp stones from scraping or puncturing the coating. Where the project permits rocky backfill, it can also reduce the need to bring in sand.
